- Due to urgent repairs to the car train carriages following an extraordinary event that occurred at Most na Soči station (18 August 2025), car trains on the Bohinjska Bistrica–Most na Soči–Nova Gorica route and vice versa will operate at limited capacity until further notice (two carriages for transporting cars and one carriage for transporting passengers and bicycles). Due to occasional high demand for car transport and the limited number of carriages and track capacity, we regret that we are unable to accept all vehicles. ALWAYS PUT SAFETY FIRST IN THE MOUNTAINS!
- Plan your tour carefully
- Should be suitable for your psycho-physical abilities
-
Ensure appropriate equipment and clothing (winter gear, crampons, ice axe, avalanche kit…)
-
Tourist information officers inform your guests about the difficulty of Slovenian mountains in winter conditions
-
Include licensed mountaineering and mountain guides in your tours
-
Always keep your mobile phone with a full battery, let your family know where you are and when you’ll be back
-
Only go to the mountains when you are 100% HEALTHY
- Whatever the season, there are three golden rules for hiking and mountaineering: the right equipment, the right destination and good information (weather, closed trails, etc.). And, of course, all the other tips for staying safe in the mountains. Let safety always come first!!
- Don’t let your exploit become one of the heartbreaking stories of this year’s heavily overworked mountain rescuers. (in Slovene language, you need translator to read those stories).
Careful and safe in the mountains. Take care of yourselves!
