As of 30 July 2026, a high wildfire risk has also been declared in the Municipality of Bohinj.
Due to the hot and extremely dry weather, residents, visitors, tourism providers and motorhome users are asked to exercise particular caution.
High temperatures and dry conditions increase the risk of wildfires. In these circumstances, even a small spark can cause a fire to spread rapidly. Visitors and residents are therefore asked not to light open fires or bonfires, discard cigarette butts, set off fireworks, or use equipment or carry out activities that could produce sparks.
Tourism providers, as well as owners and managers of accommodation establishments, land and car parks, are also asked to remain particularly vigilant. Please inform your guests of these recommendations and remind them to act responsibly and remain alert to what is happening in their surroundings.
Particular caution is also required at motorhome parking areas. Permission to park does not mean that barbecues, cooking over an open flame or other activities that could cause a fire are permitted next to the vehicle.
In areas where an official high wildfire risk declaration is in force, all restrictions and instructions issued by the competent authorities must be strictly observed. Compliance with the measures is monitored by the Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia for Protection against Natural and Other Disasters and the Police.
