Find the right balance between spontaneity and planning your holiday in Bohinj. Check road conditions, weather and timetables before you arrive and adjust your travel time accordingly.
During high season, book your accommodation (including campsites and mountain huts) well in advance. Parking lots are also full at this time of year (parking is only allowed in marked car parks).
Follow the instructions for safe hiking in the mountains, and in autumn, bear in mind that the days are short and temperatures can be very cold. Appropriate equipment, checking the weather, and being in good physical and mental shape are key!
