- We would like to inform passengers that, due to maintenance work on the track, train services 853, 854, 857, and 858 on 18 and 19 June 2026 will operate on the shortened route between Bohinjska Bistrica and Podbrdo and back.
- 16.05. – 31.08.2026 – Restrictions on transporting bicycles on trains during certain periods (Bohinj Line): On this train, there is expected to be a significant increase in demand for bicycle transport during certain periods (primarily on weekends or holidays). The train has limited capacity for transporting bicycles. In the event of a large number of passengers, we reserve the right for train staff to restrict the transport of bicycles on an exceptional basis if it could affect the comfort of fellow passengers or safety during the journey. We recommend that you plan your bicycle transport in advance and, if possible, choose dates when the train is expected to be less crowded. - From 30. 9. 2025 to 5. 7. 2027 the Jesenice railway junction and station are currently undergoing renovation. During this period, occasional train delays are possible due to reduced speeds near construction sites or track closures. For more information about the project and the scope of work, please visit www.krajsamorazdalje.si. The Slovenian Infrastructure Agency is responsible for the construction, renovation, and maintenance of public railway infrastructure.

Warning: Due to snow, WINTER EQUIPMENT (crampons, ice axe, appropriate footwear, warm clothing), EXPERIENCE, and KNOWLEDGE of how to use the equipment and move safely in the mountains under winter conditions are still ESSENTIAL for visiting the mountains. Conditions in our mountains are challenging; most mountain huts are still closed, so we recommend hiring mountain guides.
PARKING AND TRAFFIC REGIME IN BOHINJ
- Parking is only allowed in designated parking spaces!
- Parking is not allowed everywhere else, including on regional roads, and is sanctioned by the traffic police (Inter-municipal Inspectorate and Traffic Wards of the municipalities of Bled, Bohinj and Železniki).

THE NEW BLED-BOHINJ CYCLE ROUTE IS NOT YET IN USE!
- We would like to inform you that the construction works on the new Bohinj-Bled cycle route are still ongoing and the route is still a construction site.
- Staying in the area of the construction site and machinery is strictly forbidden and, above all, dangerous.

- Whatever the season, there are three golden rules for hiking and mountaineering: the right equipment, the right destination and good information (weather, closed trails, etc.). And, of course, all the other tips for staying safe in the mountains. Let safety always come first!!
- Don’t let your exploit become one of the heartbreaking stories of this year’s heavily overworked mountain rescuers. (in Slovene language, you need translator to read those stories).
