Full closure of a section of the Bled–Bohinj cycling route (Mokri Log)
The Infrastructure Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia has sent us the following notice. Due to the felling of trees damaged by windthrow, which will be carried out by the forest owner alongside the Mokri Log forest road, a full closure of the “Mokri Log” forest road will be put in place on the basis of a closure permit issued by the Slovenia Forest Service. The national Bled–Bohinj cycling route also runs along this road. The closure will apply to the section between the bridge by the Soteska power plant and the railway bridge at the turn-off onto the “Pod koriti” forest road.
The full closure is expected to be in place from Monday, 24 August 2026 at 7:00 am until Sunday, 30 August 2026.
As the national Bled–Bohinj cycling route also follows the “Mokri Log” forest road, this section of the route will also be unavailable during the closure. Users are specifically advised that use of the closed section while the works are in progress is strictly prohibited. Damaged trees will be felled in the area, making the worksite extremely dangerous. For safety reasons, users are not permitted to enter the closed section under any circumstances. We kindly ask everyone to observe the closure at all times.
A diversion will be signposted along regional road R1-209, section 1090 Soteska–Bitnje, as far as Nomenj, and then along the public road across the Sava River back to the national cycling route. Please follow the traffic signs and the officially marked diversion route.
As part of the diversion runs along a regional road, cyclists are advised to exercise additional caution. They should ride no more than two abreast in a group, keep to the right-hand side of the road, allow other vehicles to overtake safely, and wear a protective cycling helmet. Families with children and less experienced cyclists are advised to choose alternative cycling routes in the Bled or Bohinj area while the closure is in place.
Motorists are also asked to exercise additional caution and show patience and consideration towards cyclists using the diversion route. We thank all road users for their understanding and cooperation.

Popolna zapora ceste Bohinjska Bela–Obrne
Zaradi sanacije škode je zaprta lokalna cesta Bohinjska Bela–Obrne. Zapora velja na odseku med Bohinjsko Belo in naseljem Obrne.
Zapora je potrebna zaradi varne izvedbe del. Po zaključku sanacije bo začasna prometna signalizacija odstranjena, promet pa bo ponovno potekal po običajni ureditvi.
The closure will remain in place until 31 August 2026.
During the closure, direct travel between Bohinjska Bela and Obrne along the local road will not be possible. The closure applies to all vehicles, including bicycles.
A diversion route has been arranged for all vehicles and is marked with temporary traffic signs. The diversion applies in both directions.
We kindly ask all road users travelling between Bohinjska Bela and Obrne to follow the diversion signs and observe the traffic signs in place. We also recommend allowing some extra time for your journey.
